The brief, briefly

Five museums looking to test the qualities and possibilities of online mediation. What to do? Hire Goodwill to create some cinematic, cultural, historical short film magic for a streaming platform. One short film for each of the museums, a pairing with a filmmaker for each of them and BAM: Reconstructions, very old, important stories, and a hot movie minute later we present to you:

Valdemar Rørdam - From Nobel to Nazi?

Jonas Robstad created a short film for Museum Vestsjællands’ Malergaarden about the forgotten poet Valdemar Rørdam. A historical drama based on archive material and reconstruction to tell the story of a once grand man who now primarily rests in the cellars of libraries with a big pile of dust and a decade old case of cancel culture on top of him. Kamma - H.C. Andersens' Guiding Star

Peter Salling and Frederiksbergmuseerne’s Bakkehuset depicts the story of the neglected, great literary figure Kamma Rahbek through reconstruction and voice-over. A voice-over of a letter by Hans Christian Andersen which we fiddled a bit with to make sure Kamma finally was seen as the ever-shining star she actually always was. Watch the trailer here

Behind Lola's Eyes

Pernille Kjærsgaard Kjær and Museum Lolland-Falster allowed us to see the world from Lola's eyes with a wondering documentary about a girl from The Stone Age and her gum. Watch the trailer here  

Closer to the stars

Anders Quistgaard visited Observatoriet in Brorfelde and made a cosmic film wishing and wanting to be closer to the stars. The film contains equal parts of facts and reflection. Watch the trailer here

A Man Obsessed

Phillip Alexander Andersen and Oplevelsescenter Nyvang created a poetic action film (yes, they do exist) about the nuances of a resister during World War II. Watch the trailer here
